Course Care at Rosebud Country Club
To maintain the exceptional quality of our courses, we ask all members and guests to follow these course care guidelines:
Bunkers
Entry: Always enter the bunker at the lowest point to minimize disturbance.
Raking: After playing your shot, carefully rake all footprints, divots, and holes. Rake both forward and backward to ensure a smooth surface.
Final Touch: Ensure that all footprints up to the exit point are smoothed. If necessary, rake other affected areas.
Face of the Bunker: Avoid raking the face of the bunker. Use the back of the rake to smooth out the surface.
Rake Placement: Place the rake back in the centre of the bunker, aligned with the direction of play. Please do not leave rakes outside the bunkers.
Repairing Pitch Marks
Inspection: Upon reaching the green, immediately check for and repair any pitch marks you may have made.
Repair Technique: Use a pitch repairer, starting from the back of the mark and pushing forward. Work around the edges and gently ease the turf toward the centre. Avoid lifting the soil upwards.
Finishing Touch: Lightly tap down the repaired area with your putter to ensure a smooth and even surface.
Greens
Flagstick Handling:
Be careful not to hit the cup when removing or replacing the flagstick. Place the flagstick back in the centre of the cup and lower it by hand not with your club. Never drop the flagstick onto the putting surface.
Repairing Divots
Always carry and use a sand bucket to repair divots on the fairways and in the rough. After playing a shot, fill the divot with sand and smooth it out to create an even surface.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep Rosebud Country Club’s courses in excellent condition for everyone’s enjoyment.
